Installation of VirtualBox on Windows

  1. Run the downloaded VirtualBox installation file.

  2. Accept terms like any other software you want to use. :)

  3. For the custom setup, choose the desired options. You can just leave the default all options enabled.

  4. Choose desired shortcuts. It’s really up to you. My desktop is messy already, which is why I keep desktop shortcuts out.

  5. You will receive a warning that your network connections may disappear. Just click on Yes.

  6. Ready to install, click on the Install button.

  7. Paranoid MS Windows may give you a warning. Simply allow this by clicking on the Install button if you receive this warning.

  8. If you did not check “Always trust software from “Sun Microsystems, Inc.” then you will see more more device driver software to click on the Install button.

  9. You may see an error that shows an IP conflict. You can disregard this and simply restart later when installation is completed and the IP conflicts should disappear.

  10. Installation complete! Click on Finish and you may start running Sun VirtualBox already in preparation for the installation of Google Chromium OS which you will find on the next page.

Next step will be the installation of Google Chromium OS.

  2. I’m just really hoping that when they release the Google OS, it won’t be as buggy as when they released the Chrome for the first time. I mean, I love Google and I’m pretty excited about this, but I just want them to keep their good name.
